What is Internal Quality Assurance?
This course aims to equip Trainee Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs) with the necessary knowledge, comprehension, and abilities to efficiently quality assure vocational-based qualifications. It is a qualification that combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, necessitating Trainee IQAs to work closely with assessors evaluating vocational learners/qualifications, along with other IQAs overseeing assessors, to gather the evidence needed for successful completion of the qualification.
What will I learn?
This qualification is intended for assessors who assess occupational competence in an individual’s work environment. It includes the following assessment methods:
- Observation of performance in the work environment
- Use of others, witness testimony
- Examining products of work
- Discussing and questioning the learner
- Looking at learner statements
- Recognising prior learning
- The objective of the qualification is to support a role in the workplace.
