The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF) is a higher-level training certification designed for trainers with extensive experience or individuals already engaged in teaching within the Further Education sector.
It is a reflective practice course for current practitioners who are looking to develop their teaching skills and enhance their learning environment.
About this course
The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (previously CTLLS) is a nationally accredited post 16 teaching qualification.
The course consists of eight units:
Unit 1: Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
Unit 2: Planning to meet the needs of learners in education and training
Unit 3: Delivering education and training
Unit 4: Assessing learners in education and training
Unit 5: Using resources for education and training
Unit 6: Assessing occupational competence in the work environment
Unit 7: Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
Unit 8: Manage learning and development in groups
Why this course?
The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training has been designed for trainee teachers or current trainers.
It is suitable for learners who:
- Want a qualification that is based around practical teaching
- Are currently teaching and want recognition of their experience with a nationally accredited teaching qualification
- Are new to teaching, but are able to log the required 30 hours
Upon successful completion of the course, learners have the option of achieving full teacher status by progressing to the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
