First Responders (FREC3)

Our first responders work mostly in our event division covering events throughout the UK such as Sporting Events, Running Events, Music Venues, Festivals and TV & Filming.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid First Response Emergency Care Level 3 (FREC 3) Qualification

Emergency Care Assistant (ECA)

An Emergency Care Assistant (ECA) holds a FREC 4 qualification and working in the patient transport / HDU services area.

 Requirements:

  • Hold a valid First Response Emergency Care Level 4 (FREC4) or
  • PHECC EMT or Equivalent Qualification 
  • Qualsafe Safe Administration of Lifesaving Medications  
  • Relevant Emergency Driving Qualification

AAP / EMT Technician

Working across our patient transport services and at event work throughout the UK.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid IHCD Ambulance Aid (Technician) or 
  • FutureQuals Associate Ambulance Practitioner (AAP) or 
  • FutureQuals Associate Ambulance Practitioner (AAP) or 
  • Qualifi National Diploma in Emergency Care (NDEC)
  • Hold a valid EU Driving License (No more than 6 endorsement points).

HCPC Paramedics

Working across our patient transfer services team and at event work throughout the UK, often acting as lead clinician.
 
Requirements:
  • Must hold a current HCPC registration
  • Qualified Paramedic with current HCPC registration for – with no investigations/suspensions current or pending.
  • Hold a valid EU Driving License (No more than 6 endorsement points).
  • C1 Category licence
  • Must have a minimum of 24 months of NHS Trust frontline ambulance experience and undertaking pre-hospital duties (post qualification)

NMC Nurses

Are you a qualified nurse looking for additional shifts in either patient transport or event work?

Requirements:

  • Must be NMC Registered,  Ideally Senior Nurse/Charge Nurse/Sister with experience in Pre-Hospital / Event Medicine and ED, ITU Experience.
  • Primary Care experience is also a good fit. With no Outstanding NMC Fitness to Practice / Enforcement Action / Investigations.

GMC Doctors 

Are you a qualified nurse looking for additional shifts in either patient transport or event work?

 

Requirements:

  • Must be GMC Registered, Ideally A&E Doctor / Consultant with experience in Pre-Hospital / Event Medicine and ED, ITU Experience.
  • Primary Care experience is also a good fit. With no Outstanding GMC Fitness to Practice / Enforcement Action / Investigations.

Our Recruitment Process

How To Apply

Click on the apply now button and your application will be logged in our recruitment portal. Please ensure that you accurately complete all the personal details, and upload any relevant certificates so that we can contact you as needed.

Documents

You will be required to upload certain documents to support your Right To Work in the UK. This may include but is not limited to, Birth certificate, Passport, Drivers Licence, Utility Bill. There will be a need to upload any additional qualifications certificates held.

Enhanced DBS

As part of all roles within Medsafe EMS, you will be required to undertake a DBS Check at Enhanced Level. Those of you who have subscribed to the DBS Update Service should ensure you put your Update Service Certificate Number on your Application Form, so that we can perform a check. If you’re not on the update service, you will need a further DBS Check, which we can arrange for you, but there will be a cost involved (paid directly to the DBS Service) for PAYE Staff, this will be returned on successful completion of your Probationary Period (150hrs / 3 Months, whichever is longer) and for Self Employed Staff, the cost can be claimed back against your tax return as a business expense.

References

If you are or have been employed, these MUST include your last 3 years of employment, your line manager or HR department who can comment on your work experience, competence, personal qualities and suitability for the post.

If you are a student please provide contact details of a teacher at your school, college or university.

If you have not been in employment for a considerable amount of time but have had previous employment, then you should seek one reference from your last known employer and a personal reference from a person of some standing within your

community i.e. doctor, solicitor, MP etc.

Where it is not possible to obtain any employer reference at all then please obtain two personal references. Please state the names and contact details including e mail, of any personal referees who have agreed to supply references.

Where no personal reference can be obtained then references should be sought from personal acquaintances not related to or involved in any financial arrangement with you. If you have undergone training to return to work, then the academic institution should be contacted.

Personal references such as friends and relatives are NOT acceptable unless stated previously.

Please Note: All reference requests will be sought, and employment history verified through the Company’s Human Resources/Personnel Department or equivalents therefore, please ensure that you provide their full contact details.

Referees will be contacted prior to any offer with Medsafe EMS.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I am not selected when can I re apply?

You can re-apply at any stage; we are continuously having new opportunities and contracts.

How long does the process take before I can work?

This is dependant on many factors such as DBS and referencing. The more information and interaction you have with our HR team will result in a faster turnaround – average timeline is circa 2 to 3 weeks.

Do you take on Qualified First Aiders?

Unfortunately, we do not accept First Aid at Work (FAW) due to the nature of events and work we cover. 

Which type of contract/employment do you offer?

We cover a variety of employment status – both Self employed and PAYE depending upon contract.

What shifts do I work?

Once you are fully compliant and training cleared you will get access to our staffing system. You will then be able to book on to any available shifts that are within your grade.
